Sound World, How it all began By Spero Davias 2018-2019 In the beginning there was music .... . As Newcastle's up and coming young Electrical Contractor, I was involved with quite a few Retail stores in the Newcastle Area and became mates with some store owners, like Chester Woods who owned Chester’s and Reg Mason who started Impact Sound. Being Chester’s personal Electrician, I was involved with wired up most of Chester’s stores from the original West End store to all the other stores up and down Hunter Street. At one stage Chester and Reg opened up a 'super store' in Hunter Street just up from the Civic Centre. It was one large store divided into two smaller ones by archways, I wired up both stores, that's, Lighting, Electrics, Music, Security Alarms etc... I spent many days and nights putting it all together. As the new Impact Sound was being built there were the usual tradies coming and going all day long so i chose to do my wiring at night nigh...
